Chapter 1
Hawk
“What the fuck?” I yell out to no one in particular. I’m woken up by my phone ringing and someone yelling on the other side of my bedroom door.
“Pres, get the fuck up. Shit went down at the tattoo shop.” It’s Delta, my Sargent at Arms. I get up and answer the fucking door.
“What the fuck, man?” I look down at my watch. “It’s fucking 3:00 a.m. This better be important.” I was in a deep sleep thinking about being in virgin pussy.
“Axl was fucking attacked at the tattoo shop. He’s on his way in now. It looks like the Devil’s Daddies came in and stabbed him while he was closing up,” he says.
“You’ve got to be fucking kidding me!” I punch the wall right by the door, making a dent. I grab a pair of pants, my shirt, and my cut. “Where the fuck is Jax?” I yell at him, asking for my VP.
“He’s on his way in now with Doc. They were out on the practice run with the prospects,” Delta says. I grab my shit and head out into the clubhouse rec room.
My names Hawk, AKA Thomas Gunner. I’m President of the Blazing Saints Motorcycle Club. Our club has fingers into everything, we’re like a fucking vine. I run shit around here and if anyone fucks with me, my brothers, or my property, they fucking pay with blood. I call the shots for this club, my word is law along with my brothers: Jax, my VP, Delta, my Sargent at Arms, Axl, my Road Captain, and Doc, our Treasurer. Together we make up the leadership of the Blazing Saints MC. We dabble in illegal shit like gun running, light drugs, and security, but we don’t fuck around with people unnecessarily. Most of the time we keep to ourselves, make money and protect this little town we call home. We have the respect of our town. No one fucks with us, and we help out as much as we can. Hell, we even have our grasp in the law.
We try to keep business on the up and up but the illegal shit is what rakes in the dough. We own all the tattoo shops in town and the adjacent towns. Hearing that one of our rival clubs, the Devil’s Daddies, attacked my Road Captain while he was closing up like the little bitches they are makes my blood boil.
I’m in the rec room waiting for Axl to arrive. Our clubhouse is separated into different spaces. We have the rec room, which is the main room of the clubhouse. It has a bar area, pool tables, darts, and a large seating area with five huge couches. We also have a kitchen and dining area, sleeping quarters, and the room for church. Church is where we have meetings; only leadership is allowed into church. General meetings happen in the rec room once all the club whores have gone home.
Speaking of club whores, Kelly, one of the new club whores that I haven’t fucked yet, is stalking over to me like she’s a predator and I’m her prey. She has brown hair, green eyes, and beautiful natural breasts. She’s as thin as a rail and has no ass in sight. The only problem with Kelly happens when she opens her mouth. Her teeth look like they had a bad run-in with some dynamite.
“Hey Hawk,” she says as she takes a seat next to me. I have my arms out to the sides of me on the top of the couch. She sits under my right arm and is rubbing up and down my chest. I feel her hand making its way down to my cock.
“Kelly,” I say sternly.
“You look tense, baby. How about you let me make you feel better?” she says as she reaches for my cock. She’s about to unzip my pants when I stop her.
“No. Right now is not the time. We have shit going down and you want to fuck? Get the fuck out of here.” She pouts and walks off to another brother. I’m getting tired of these club bitches. Don’t get me wrong, I love me some pussy on demand, but they get on my nerves. They are just looking for a patch and a title and I’m not about to offer her one.
Delta, my Sargent at Arms, comes to sit next to me. “You haven’t fucked a club whore in over a month, Hawk. What the fuck is up? You got a bug or something?”
“No, I ain’t got a bug, you fuck. I’m just tired of fucking the same women, and I don’t need Kelly shark mouth anywhere near my dick. I’d like to keep the thing attached.” He starts laughing.
All the brothers fuck the club whores. Leadership likes to go out and find other women to fuck. We leave the club whores for the regular fully patched members and prospects. I like to fuck women that aren’t club whores but on occasion, I will fuck one if the mood strikes.
“Where the fuck is Axl?” I’m on edge and it’s making me worried now that he hasn’t showed. I feel the tension building in my body.
I’m jolted from my thoughts by Jax and Doc walking in.
“Pres, what the hell is going on?” Jax, my VP, says. Jax, Delta and I have been friends since we were little shits. We were all in foster care together, and when we turned 18, Delta joined the military and Jax and I went to college. We decided we weren’t going to be nobodies. Granted, we never thought we would be in an MC together, but an ally club called the Corrupted Saints in a neighboring town decided to gives us their support and we shot up after that. We cleaned house of the old Blazing Saints leadership; they were corrupt and would abuse and beat anything that lived and breathed. We have since kicked out any shithead that followed that philosophy. I trust every single one of the brothers in this club with my life now. When Delta got out of the military, it had already been about five years that Jax and I were leadership. The old Sargent at Arms was kicked out for doing drugs, and there was no other choice but give Delta the job. He’s my brother and I trust him 100% with doing anything that needs to be done. He’s the muscle of this club and gets shit done quickly, silently, and deadly if needed.
“It looks like Axl was attacked at the tattoo shop in town. I don’t know much more than that,” I say to him. He walks over with Doc and takes a seat on the couch with me and Delta.
“Delta, get him on the phone,” I bark out.
“I’ve been trying, they don’t answer.”
“Doc, track his phone.” Doc is especially good at computers, surveillance, and money. We call him Doc because he was a doctor for a couple years before joining the MC. He’s one of those brainiac kids that graduated high school at 15, got his degree at 18, and then graduated from medical school at 23. He still works a few shifts at the local hospital but his real passion is being a Blazing Saint.
“On it already, Pres. They’re pulling up to the gate now,” Doc says.
Finally, in walks Axl with two prospects. He’s holding his arm and there’s blood everywhere.
“What the fuck?” I rush over to him and help. The other brothers do the same.
“Doc, we need you to look at his arm.”
Doc has already gone and come back with his medic bag. “Put him on the couch so I can take a look,” Doc says.
“What the fuck took you guys so long?” I ask to no one specific.
“I didn’t want to leave until I had everything secured at the shop. I couldn’t leave anyone there just in case someone came back, and one of the artists started having a hissy fit over her fucking shoe. I had to kick the bitch out and tell her to come back tomorrow.” His
arm is bleeding a lot.
“It’s just a flesh wound. You’ll need a couple stitches but you will be fine,” Doc says as he works on his arm.
“Church when you finish his arm,” I say as I walk away.
About 30 minutes later, all the leadership meets in church.
“You alright, brother?” I ask Axl.
“Yeah, Pres. More annoyed than anything that they would come on our turf and attack.”
“What happened?” Jax says.
“I went to the shop to close up for the night, get the money all counted because the manager said she couldn’t make it in tonight. Everything was going smoothly until five fucks from the Devil’s Daddies came in and started fucking up everything. They got me five to one. I beat their asses but they pulled out knives and started swinging that shit around. It wasn’t until the prospects got there that a few ran. The prospects went after them. A couple Devil’s Daddies stayed back with their President. He said he wanted our turf and wouldn’t take no for an answer. He also said we needed to watch our backs on our runs and that it was just the beginning. I think they are going to start fucking with our business unless we take them out.”
“I agree,” I say.
“Doc, I need you to dig up what you can on all of them. I want surveillance on them too. I wanna know who’s running the show over there. We used to have an agreement with their old Pres to stay out of each other’s hair and never fuck with business. It sounds like they have new leadership.”
“Everyone keep alert. We will let the rest of the brothers know to keep an eye out for anything especially around town,” Delta says.
“Oh and one more thing. Jen, the manager. Find out what the fuck happened to her. I want to make sure this wasn’t a set up,” I say before leaving the room. I need a drink.
Chapter 2
Hannah
I’m waiting at the airport for my cousin Jen to pick me up. She’s letting me stay with her while I get back on my feet. I just got through the worst break up of my life. My ex was violently abusive physically and mentally and I couldn’t take it anymore. I left. He was on a bender of drinking and drugs and started beating me and raping me last night. I shudder just thinking about it. While he was sleeping, I called a ride share and went straight to the airport. A four-hour flight later and I’m here in my cousin’s new town. She moved out here a few years ago.
I haven’t seen Jen since she moved. She’s got a job as the manager for a strip club and a tattoo shop. She seems to be doing pretty well for herself from what I can see on social media. Jen and I are really close. My parents died when I was a kid. Her parents took me in and raised me and we grew up as sisters. Jen’s parents died two years ago and now all we have is each other.
I don’t know how Jen is going to react to seeing me. My face is unrecognizable, I have a black eye that’s swollen shut, my lip is busted, and I have bruises on my face. Those are just the signs of abuse that are visible. If you were to remove my clothing, it’s worse and disgusting. I can barely look at it myself.
My phones ringing. I threw out my old phone at the airport in my old town and got a pre-paid one and gave Jen the number. It must be her.
“Hello?” I answer.
“Han?” It’s Jen.
“Yeah, Jen, it’s me. Where are you?” I ask her.
“I’m at the airport by terminal 4. I’m outside. I’m in a white BMW. You can’t miss me.”
“Okay, I’ll be right there.” I don’t have anything, no luggage no bags, nothing. I only managed to grab my birth certificate, passport, and social security card when I left. I always kept them together just in case. They’re my identity and all I have left to connect me to my parents. I didn’t tell Jen what happened to me; I just said that I needed to get away and broke up with Ted, my ex.
I walk outside of the airport and immediately see Jen’s white BMW. As soon as she sees me, she jumps out of the car and runs over to me.
“Hannah! Oh my god. What happened to you?” The expression of excitement leaving her face as she gets closer to me. She pulls me into a hug. I can feel her shaking against me as she sobs. While holding my cousin I can’t help but think how we are completely opposite. She’s blonde and in shape, and I’m brunette and not so in shape. I’ve always been on the plus size side of things. I like my body most of the time. The only thing we have in common is we both got our fathers’ eyes. Jen’s dad was my dad’s brother and they both had one grey eye and the other brown. It’s a strong trait passed down in our family.
“Ouch! Please not too tight, it hurts.” Every breath I take pinches, pulls and burns. I’m pretty sure he cracked a rib again maybe two.
“We need to go to the police. The hospital. Who did this to you?” she asks frantically.
“Can we get in the car and I can tell you on the way there? I need to sit down.” I feel as if I’m going to lose my breath and pass out.
“Yes, of course. Where are your things?” she asks with a confused look on her face.
“I don’t have any.” I say as we make eye contact. I think she understands now. I never told her about any of the times before. I didn’t want to worry her. I wanted to protect her too. I didn’t want my ex knowing I had family he would only use them against me. I don’t know what limits he would push when he was high.
“Okay. Come on. Let’s go.” She walks over to her car and opens the door for me, helping me in. I’m very grateful for the help. She runs around the front of the car to the driver’s side and gets in.
“Hannah, who did this to you?” She asks me as we drive. Her hands are gripping the steering wheel so tightly her knuckles are turning white. I can feel the tension and anxiety coming off her body, it’s hitting me like a freight train.
“Ted.”
“How long has this been going on?”
“It’s been 6 months now. It wasn’t always like this. He started getting involved with the wrong crowd, drinking more, and then he got into some heavy drugs. I couldn’t take it anymore. I snuck out in the middle of the night and went straight to the airport and called you.”
“I’m so sorry. Why didn’t you tell me this was going on? I could have helped you sooner.”
“I was embarrassed and Ted was always around when I was on the phone or texting anyone. He would check my messages. It’s why I haven’t been in contact much. I never told him that I had family because I was afraid he would do something to you or use you against me. I’m sorry.”
“No! You don’t need to be sorry. You’re safe now. I think we need to take you to see a doctor.” She has tears in her eyes that I see her wiping away.
“Please no doctors. I don’t want to make any official reports or put myself into a system. I can’t. I need to feel safe for a while, lay low.” I’m pleading with her. She looks over to me and see’s the fright I have in my face and nods her head in understanding.
“Okay. Well, I have a friend. I think he might be able to help you, at least take a look at you. He’s a doctor, I trust him.”
“I don’t know, Jen. I’m afraid of anyone looking at me right now.” I don’t even want to look at me right now.
“Please, Han.” She’s calls me by my nickname. She had trouble saying my full name when we were younger. The nickname has stuck.
“Okay, if you think we can trust him.”
“I do. Let’s get you home first. I think you’re going to like my new place.” Her face lights up when talking about her house. She’s exuding pride as she talks about it.
“I saw some of the photos you put up on social media. It looks beautiful, I can’t wait to see it in person.”
I’m trying to be brave and not show the pain in my face but every bump in the road hurts. It hurts to breathe, I can barely see, my lip is stinging, and I can taste blood. I also feel like I have the biggest lump in my throat. I wonder if her doctor would recommend some plan B and some antibiotics. I don’t want to get pregnant and I’m scared I might have
an STD. Ted would come home with women’s lipstick on his collar and smelling like perfume. I also found a pair of panties in his jeans once. He changed months into our relationship. He was always so attentive and caring towards me. He’d buy me roses and gifts, then suddenly like a switch flipped in his head, he became a monster. A monster who tortured me and ruined my life.
I feel a hand on my leg, and I jump. I must have dozed off in the car. “Han, it’s okay. It’s just me. We’re here.” I rub my eyes awake and see her home. It’s a small one-story cottage home. It’s light blue with white accents. There’s a giant wrap around porch with large windows. There’s a swing on the left and a comfy seating area on the right.
“It’s beautiful, Jen.”
“Thanks. Come on. Let’s get inside.” Her smile is telling me she’s happy but her eyes are telling me something different. She winces every time she really takes a look at me. I open the door and gather the last of my courage to get myself out. Jen holds her hand out and supports me out. We walk together with me leaning on her for support. I feel like I’m toppling her since I’m so much larger than she is but she’s doing her best and I appreciate it.
“Sorry. I’m so slow and heavy. It just hurts like a bitch to move.” The more I’m walking now the more it’s hurting to breathe. Every time I take a rest, my lungs take a break and then when I start moving it’s like a bruise being pressed on each time I breathe.
“Don’t be sorry, girl. You’ve been through hell and back, and you’re allowed to be slow and in pain.”
“Thanks.”
She supports me up the small set of stairs to her front door. I steady myself on the wall of the house while she unlocks the front door. As soon as she opens the front door I’m hit with the smell of vanilla. It smells like home. It’s a floral vanilla smell I remember from growing up. She puts her keys away in her purse and comes back to support me while we walk in.
“It smells so good in here.”
